Non-executive directors of Sinochem Holdings visit subsidiaries in Switzerland, France

From November 17 to 21, Sinochem Holdings’ non-executive directors — Hu Jianhua, Ling Yiqun, and Zheng Wenmin — visited Switzerland and France to conduct on-site inspections of Syngenta Group, Adisseo, and Elkem.

In Switzerland, they visited Syngenta Group’s operational headquarters, the Monthey production site, and the Stein global crop protection R&D center. They held in-depth discussions with the management and R&D teams on topics including financial performance, strategic development, talent management, and corporate governance. The non-executive directors emphasized that, as a global enterprise under Sinochem Holdings, Syngenta Group should fully leverage its strengths in collaboration within a multicultural environment. The company should seize growth opportunities, pursue innovative approaches, expand market resources, and improve asset operation efficiency, actively creating value for shareholders while making a greater contribution to global agricultural development.

In France, they visited Elkem’s ATRiON Research and Innovation Centre in Lyon, the methionine production facility, and the R&D center, and held on-site discussions with the management teams.

The non-executive directors expressed that Elkem will continue to strengthen its innovation capabilities, enhance its innovation system, and accelerate the commercialization of R&D outcomes. Leveraging both domestic and international markets, it will seek business opportunities through balance of trade and aim to build a competitive value chain in the materials science sector. Adisseo, as a benchmark for overseas corporate governance within Sinochem Holdings, should seize opportunities during the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), consistently regard sci-tech innovation as the “primary lifeblood” of its growth, proactively tackle challenges, consolidate its market position, and confidently pursue expansion and high-quality development.
